Anne Horn has been elected as a councillor for Ward 2 Kintyre and the Islands, Argyll and Bute Council, following a by-election on 18 July 2024.

Putting children鈥檚 rights at the heart of school life, where children feel respected and their talents nurtured are key aims of UNICEF鈥檚 Rights Respecting School Awards (RRSA). Staff and children across fifteen Argyll and Bute Schools have worked hard to embed the award values in daily school life resulting in gold, silver and bronze awards. This is a significant step towards the council becoming a Rights Respecting Education Service.
